    How many times can one re-take the ETHICs exam if one were to fail it?

    I believe you can submit the online version 3x and then you have to mail it in if you don't pass…double check that though.

    How much is the ethics exam and how do you take it? Is it a hard exam?

    Depends – some states evidently rely on the AICPA version of the ethics exam.

    Not Wisconsin, however…..they have their own ethics exam that you can ONLY take after completing all 4 parts of the exam. I'm sure they're not the only state that does it this way, but I'd check with your state board.
