I've completed the exam and have my experience, but I need to finish anywhere from 10-19 credits.I'm waiting on the NY Exam Coordinator at Nasba for exactly how many. Its taking forever.
He sent me an email in November of 2010 with my Jur ID and NTS stating that I needed 19 additional credits to be licensed, which my original question stemmed from: “What are these 19 credits in (i.e. business, accounting, pottery, etc)?” When I asked him about a month ago he told me via email that I had already met the 150 hour rule….??? (I haven't since after he told me that I went and requested my transcript from my school which still says 140 credits). At least I'm not going crazy haha. When I inquired futher, he stated that he had received additional information from my college and my education status “has been updated.” I told him I didn't think that was correct and he said to send all of my forms in after I passed the exam and the NYS board will evaluate and let me know if I need any futher classes, which I do (150-140=10).
I called the NYS Board and the woman on the phone told me that if Nasba sends over my information and it says that I have met the 150 hour rule, they will not investigate and will pass it through. I was honest and told her what was going on since I don't want an audit or something 10 years down the road that causes me to lose my lisence over 10 credits. She told me to go back to Nasba and inquire again.
I sent an email last week and haven't received a response back. Ugg so frustrating. I want to get my credits done and I want to get started before busy season. I work for a big 4 so nothing can get done from January to March with regards to credit hours. I'll be calling Nasba again for the 5th time this week some time today o_0
