I’m on the verge(hopefully) of passing all 4 exams, but since Im doing this right out of college, I haven’t been able to get that 1 year work experience required for california. Can someone tell exactly how long the exam credits last after the completion of my fourth exam until I get a CPA job? Can someone find a definite reliable source for this info for me. I’ve looked it up but I have only managed to get an unreliable source saying it’s 3 years.

Im planning to start working at a CPA firm by maybe October 2013.

Page 18 line 1. Once you pass all 4 sections in 18 months, your scores never expire. It is my understanding that this is true in all states/jurisdictions.

Had the same concern a while back, directly from the fine folks at the CBA:

After you have passed all four parts of the CPA exam, your exam scores will never expire and are good for life. You may apply for Licensure at anytime after you have received your official “Pass” letter from the CBA indicating that you have passed. Pass letters take about 2-3 weeks to be mailed out to candidates after your final credit score has been posted to your Client Account.

Now if I originally took and pass all four parts of the CPA exam under PA jurisdiction and let's say the BOA in this state has a law that says test score expires after 3 years, if I transfer my credits to a CA jurisdiction that never expires and say I obtain the experience needed in PA 5 years down the road. Will I be able to transfer the test score back to PA for licensure? In other words, I'm trying to find a way to extend the validity of the test score by transferring to other jurisdiction without actually applying for a license until I've obtain the experience needed.

Take mla1169's link and just change the state name to your applicable state (assuming it's a NASBA state). I did New Jersey, and it told me that credits never expire.

Today I received written email confirmation from PA that exam credits will not expire once you pass all 4 sections.
