I’m planning on taking it this weekend! My coworker took it about 10 years ago and she said it only took her about 6 hours. She recommends that I read the book and take the exam right away.

Has anyone taken it more recently and if so how long did it take and were you able to do it all in one day? Did you take notes as you read?

Yea, definitely read it instead of watching that incredibly boring “e-lecture” thing they have; I didn't realize you could get a written version of the course. Hell, you probably don't even need to read the material. Had I known there was a PDF available and the test wasn't timed, I probably wouldn't have even bothered reading the material.

Just do a ctrl+F to find the material, like you would on the research questions. I failed the first time through with an 88, but it's still a fairly easy test. I think you can fail 3 times; second time through, i got a 96 or 97, something like that score.

I got through the material in about 3 hours this week, maybe 4, and then took the exam today. It took maybe an hour – an hour and a half. It isn't that hard, I got a 93 my first try using the PDF and the aicpa information.

I spent about 4 hours total over a weekend and only missed 2 questions out of 46. 96%

Thanks! How did you get the PDF version? I bought mine from my state board (CO) and I didn't have that option…
