It's hard to study specifically for the SIMS because there are so many possibilities as to what you'll see. I'd recommend starting with the following questions:
1. Did you feel like you had plenty of time for the SIMS? It's hard to do well if you're rushed. If this was the case, have a time plan for the exam and stick to it. Allow yourself at least 15 minutes longer than you had when you started the SIMS on the last exam. It's better to guess on one or two MCQ and have plenty of time on the SIMS.
2. Was there a particular type or types of questions that you had trouble with? For example, some people have trouble with JE. If so, practice with problems that emphasize your weak area. Use SIMS from your study material or a test bank or even questions from your old accounting texts.
3. Were one or more of the questions on subjects that you were weak on? If so, review these areas and practice MCQ to reinforce the topics.
4. Did any of the SIMS seem unreasonable? Keep in mind that sometimes you just have bad luck as far as the SIMS. If that was the case last time, remind yourself that you knew the material well based on your MCQ performance. Review everything again (including the new material effective July) and do some practice SIMS and MCQ.
Hope this is of some help.
