I felt as though I had to step up and post a feel-good topic on this board that’s somewhat unrelated to studying.

    n

How do YOU celebrate when you finish a section, find out you passed a section, or find out you’re a CPA???

    n

For me, the first two have always involved a few (or more) drinks with friends, coupled with good vibes that are amplified by the feeling of how blessed I am with the opportunities I’ve been given. Hopefully I’ll have an exaggerated version of this soon for the third!

    n

And hey, no shame! Maybe you just sit back and watch your favorite tv show, happy that it’s over… I’ve done this too, and it’s great!n

i took all of my exams during my last semester of college, so after each exam that i passed i went out and drank heavily. Now that i just passed my last exam, i will definitely go out to dinner with my entire family this weekendn

    After passing:

    n

First exam- I think I went to church to thank god I had passed FAR.
nSecond exam- I bought my first house, coicidence that it just so happen to occur a couple days after getting the results.
nThird exam- I bought a new shotgun for the upcoming “exam free” hunting season
nFourth and final test- I am still hoping for a bonus when i get certified and plan to spend it on a trip to Reno/Lake Tahoe before tax season to visit a friend.n

I found out I passed far around 1:30am (that's seriously when my stupid score finally appeared on NASBA) and I called my dad and woke him up. I had no sense of time since I had just been sitting around all night pressing refresh. I forgot how late it was. He asnwered the phone panicked thinking I was dying or something and then when I said “I Passsssed!” he was like “Oh thank god I thought you were like in an accident or something! I'm going back to bed honey, call me tomorrow”

    n

LOL! Then I called all my friends who are all in college and up anyway at that hour. They all congratulated me. Then I went to bed. After I passed AUD I did the same thing minus calling my dad at 1:30 in the morning. My friends at school have all nicknamed me “99” now LOL!n

I love fast food (yes, it's awesome) but I don't eat it often because, well, it's horrible for you. Plus, I am already too damn fat for my height (5'9″ 180 lbs…I was 160 in high school). After I pass an exam I treat myself to a huge, fattening, grease fest. After I found out about REG I had Wendy's. Burger, nuggets, fries, and a pop at about 1 a.m. It was delicious.n

I have passed only one section, but, I did celebrate a little with my favorite meal and beer. LOL. When I finished AUD this week, I celebrated with 4 days off from Becker, and a few drinks that night. LOL. I'm not quite sure how I will celebrate finishing FAR in 3 weeks. I am scheduled to be at the beach for a week in Sept. I'm praying that I am celebrating some that week.

    THanks for the great thread.

I have a ritual after walking out of the exam. I usually have someone drop me off, then after Im done I have someone waiting for me outside to pick me up and take me to the nearest bar. I drink til Im silly since I dont drink while I study. Every time the scores released, I was studying for another section so I didnt really celebrate during that time. I usually have a few days between exam day and starting the next section so I party it up then. I passed 3 for 3 so far and studying for my last. If I pass this one, I am having a party!!!!! I will also get myself a gift, a semi auto shotgun to get into 3 gun (I shoot at matches and competitions locally) and a watch.

No joke, I go to Best Buy and Toys R' Us. I usually buy a video game or something and just relax for a week or two. Or I order a UFC event and watch that to get my mind of any doubts I may have had after walking out of the test.

once i finish all 4 sections, im just going to sleep an entire weekend, without that overbearing sense of guilt. I think that feeling of “God, I should be studying right now, why am I not studying” is just as bad as actually having to study…

no time to celebrate until then!!

I went to the beach for a week after I took the FAR exam. I went on a cruise after I took the AUD exam. However, I celebrated a little too soon. I made a 74 on AUD. When I pass AUD, I will throw a party at a local restaurant. The party will be for all of my prayer warriors (20 people). I will be picking up the tab for dinner instead of paying for another NTS.

I feel happy inside knowing I don't have to study again for the test. Usually tell my girlfriend sometime within 2 days if I remember to tell her lol and mention it to my family if it comes up. Other than that I don't really do anything, just do things that studying kept me from such as playing video games, going to movies, playing sports, and hanging out with friends. I don't really like celebrating things by “partying” all I really need is the internal joy.

Had a nice dinner and bought a ring that I had my eye on. 4 parts – wonder if that will turn into 4 rings!

When I finish all 4 parts definately sleep for a who;e weekend. Catch up with family and friends.

Not that it's really celebrating, but how about find a good job (or get a promotion; find a job in my case)! After all, that's really why we're all killing ourselves for this thing. Though, I will be celebrating quite heavily when I find a good job.

    It's done, Son!
