I passed my last section, REG, in Feb. 2011. I got my passing score in around the third week of March. I just got my registration # with IDFPR on May 3rd. Here’s some helpful info.
– After you take the ethics exam wait two weeks and then call the IBOE and make sure they have it. I talked to them and they said sometimes they never got their ethics score. The person said to always call and check.
– IBOE sends certificate numbers for candidates done with all 4 sections and ethics twice a month. I kept checking the IDFPR to apply for my license online and kept getting a message that said no match. I called and they said they are behind and it could take a while. I asked if I should just send in the paper application and she said they were working on the applications from the week of Jan. 21st , 2011(that’s 3 months behind). She said it would be better to wait until I could apply online.
– Wait and apply online! After three weeks I was finally able to apply online. I paid my $92 and when I hit confirm I was sent a PDF file with my license number! No waiting! Amazing!
– Note that 07/01/2012 IL will no longer be a two-tiered state and will only offer licenses and not allow people to be registered.
