    Is there anyone waiting to get licensed in Guam? Just submitted my application package last week. I am in knots waiting. If there’s anyone please let me know how long the process takes from submission to approval. Thanks

    There's so little material about the Guam licensing experience. Just want to share for those who are trying to find out anything about it.

    Got my 1 year experience & then some last June 3, 2020. I submitted my package and payment June 8. The nice ladies at the office checked it and told me everything seems in order. The Board was supposed to have a meeting on June 18 but didn't due to COVID concerns. The Board met on July 16. Today, Aug 4, the call came, license ready. Yay! Finally! Nice lady said, my name should be on CPA Verify by Friday.

    It has been a long journey from heartaches, finally passing March last year, then those 3 letters CPA (copy, paste, assemble LOL).

    Congratulations! How does Guam licensing work in terms of the state you are licensed in? Are you licensed to work in Guam only in US?

    FAR 7/25/15 76!

    @RobOh Thanks

    @monikerc Thank you. Guam is part of the 55 NASBA jurisdiction state & territories. Substantial equivalency & reciprocity applies. Should I want to get licensed in another state, I may have to meet additional requirements. For instance, Guam has no ethics exam requirement.

    Got it, thanks. Neither does Kentucky. Good luck!

    Congrats on the Guam license.
    I have some friends doing medical work on Guam, temporary assignment for the next year on and off.
    Hoping to go visit sometime this winter before tax season. I hear it's quite beautiful.
    And humid and hot!

    @Recked my sister lived on Rota (north of Guam) for a few years and loved it. She was ready to leave when her teaching contract expired though. Very isolated. She did earn her master scuba diving certification though in the Phillipine Sea. I hope you get to go and love every minute of it.

    @recked Thank you. Do visit our island. It is beautiful. We islanders like to say, wherever village you live in, the nearest beach is just 15 minutes away. It is hot & humid though but I'll take that over winters anytime.
