What is my play here? I am thinking about doing a weeknight or weekend program and need to take the GMAT. I used and loved Becker for my CPA Exam and had great results.

I don't know how much a course costs, but I think you can prepare with a study guide for a lot less money. I used Kaplan and Princeton Review a few years ago and ended up with a great score (740).

    FAR 4/1/11 - 89
    AUD 4/15/11 - 85
    REG 4/29/11 - 80
    BEC 5/13/11 - 85

    Look into http://www.knewton.com

You can attend a regularly scheduled online classes, or watch previously recorded lessons (which is what I prefer). I raised my score 150 points that way.

If you are going for a MAcc or MS lots of schools will take the CPA scores in place of the GMAT.

Which school are those? I'm trying to get into NYU & Baruch and they don't substitute the GMAT for the CPA. As a matter of fact, most business schools don't allow that as well.

Most schools out there have a GMAT exemption and some will accept the CPA as an exemption. I never said all schools do it. I know every grad school I looked at in Denver has a GMAT exemption and will take the CPA as consideration.

NYU has it. I am not saying it happens all the time but worth a try before taking another stupid test.

I took Kaplan live class. I would do 7 questions in the time period that it took the rest of the class to do 2. It was during college, so it was just nice to have time set aside to study. I did about half the homework tests that were assigned and ended up 93rd percentile (700). For me, this test was a million times easier than the CPA, also instant scores!

    BEC - 75(expired), 79
    REG - 63, 54, 61, 69 (Gave up for a year. Finally decided to really study) 73, 78
    FAR - 70, 71, 73, 83
    AUD - 61, 72, 72, 76
