I have a goal to pass all parts in a year. I can sit for the exam but I need 12 accounting credits and the 1 year experience requirement in order to apply for licensing. Is there a deadline to get a license after you pass all four parts? Lets say it’d take 2-3 years to be eligible to apply for license in NY, is it going to be a problem? Thank you

In MA, we have to file the license within 3 years after you passing all four tests.

i don't think theres a time limit in NY. i'd imagine it to be pretty messed up if they forced people to retake the exams

It depends on the state. Florida gives you three years to get licensed after passing. Check with your state board.

New York is unlimited, but if it gets past a certain number of years (5?) you have to do some CPE.

Worst case scenario you can get licensed in Oregon or another state with longer expiration date and then transfer your CPA license.
