General question on the 18 month window

Can someone please confirm whether the 18 month window is based on the day I take (and hopefully pass my first exam) or is it based on that testing window? For example, if you were to take the exam in the first month of a window, the 18th month will always be a March, June, Sep, or Dec month, so you effectively lose 1 month. However, if you take the exam on the second month of a window, your 18th month will never fall on a month in which you can’t take the exam. Thanks in advance for your comments!

it's based on the day your take (and pass) your first exam and does not factor the day that you receive the score.

    B 74, 70, 74, 69, 85!!!
    A 88 (lost credit), 87
    R 74, 78
    F 68, 76

can't really figure out the math right now, but here's my experience for your reference (massachusetts).

sat for FAR on 7/6/2009, passed, expires 1/31/2011

sat for BEC on 8/11/2009, passed, expires 2/28/2011

so it doesnt factor in the day but it should be 18 months from the last day of the month you pass. credit should never expire during a month you can't take it.. because you had to have taken it 18 months prior to the expiration date (which would have been a testing month).

I think that the 18 month window depends on your state. I have seen some people post here that their credit expires 18 months from the date they took the exam. My score sheet from my most recent attempt at FAR shows that my credit for BEC & REG expire on 5/31/2010, not 18 months from the date that I took the exams.

    Most recent scores
    BEC-80, FAR-79
    REG-73 - 2/19/2011
    AUD-74 - April 2011

Hi, I took my BEC exam on 7/30/09 and passed. I cannot find my BEC score sheet any more. I need to know the exact date my BEC score expires since I have to take my REG exam before the expiration date.

Do you guys know how to confirm? Who should I contact? Thanks a lot!
