So i took Far last Thursday and had an interesting experience to say the least. After plowing through the first 3 testlets and the 1st simulation something awful occured. Either I hit the exit button, or there was a computer malfunction (NASBA are reviewing my keystrokes to determine who’s at fault.) I ended up going from Sim1 to the survey page and it said “Session Endeded.” After a feable attempt at recovery, my test was gone. Poof! It will be graded with 6 sims left blank.

1 of 2 things will now occur. Either NASBA will determine their systems were at fault, or they will determine that i exited the exam in error and its my fault. If its their faul, i can re-take the exam for free ASAP. If its my faul, i have to wait till i receive my score (which is obviously failing), and then reschedule and repay. Since it is now the end of May and there are no exames in June, i’d be looking at early july, assuming they don’t fill up while i sit here and wait for my failing score.

so sorry. what a bummer. it seems like it would have to be a system error because I can never move in and out of the test without a couple of “are you sure” questions. Hopefully you will be able to retake that asap. If so, don't let it shake you, go back in there and hit it hard.

Ya they ask you twice even the “are you sure” type questions before they exit you out. Man that sux tho to have to psych yourself up again

Wow that's crazy! I just took FAR yesterday (5/31) and found when I clicked to move to a different tab in the TBS/SIMS, I got a blank white screen for a couple seconds then it would load. At one moment I had the calculator open and was simulatenously trying to select an answer from the dropdowns and it froze for like 30secs. I was raising my hand trying to get the Prometric attendant to let her know but then it reloaded and it was fine again.

Throughout my exam, I looked to my right at the PC tower and it looks like the Prometric computer I was using to take the exam was a super old super slow hunk of junk, possibly a Pentium 3 or something from the late 90s? It seems like they need to upgrade their computers and get with the times. I could hear the PC tower making weird noises and working really hard everytime I submitted a testlet and moved onto the new testlet. Same thing for the SIM/TBS tabs.

When I took audit last month, the computer i used was also very old..5-8 seconds between each MCQ. It took atleast 20 seconds for each sim to load. I was mad, it definitely stole 10-15 minutes of my test time.

My Prometric test center has a floor fan blowing on their servers! Not a good sign….but so far, I have had no testing issues.

Well just got my score from the re-take of this disaster. 80 baby!!! The beast has been slayed. Now on to REG, which seems like an even more beast these days.
