Any ideas for working thru the exam questions since they are open book?

What got me was several of the questions being so arbitrary and unclear that I couldn’t understand what question they were actually asking. If there were clarification, I would know the answer, but when you have to guess what the question is, it makes it hard to pick the answer that corresponds…

    “failed ethics”

Seems like a resume title rather than a forum title to me.

It really is disheartening that the open book ethics exam is so hard, and some people feel harder than the actual CPA exam. I took it in CA and I also failed the first ethics exam. The way I finally passed was by printing the test and taking my time. I would keyword search each question and make notes on the margins of each question, including page numbers of where I found each answer. It probably took me about 10 hours over a weekend. Even though I had page references for each question I still missed 3 on my passing exam.

Was it the same exam each try?

And is there a limit of how many times you can take it?

You can take it now before completing the 4 parts?

I think you have always been able to pass it before completing the 4 parts.

I think you Can. But I’ve already taken all 4 exams and I’m just waiting on results.
