Experience Sign-off at PwC

Who would sign off on your experience at PwC? your mentor? your manager? partner?

the thing is I worked at PwC 6 years ago and the partner had left the firm since. I am not sure if my former manager is still there. I guess my State board has sent a letter but they aren’t getting any response from my former employer.

What to do? what if all the people I know have left the firm. Can the current partner/manager sign off based on my employment/performance records with the company?

    BEC - 86 (8/31/12)
    AUD - 97 (11/18/12)
    REG - 83 (5/12/13)
    FAR - 91 (12/2/13)
    Done!!!

I'm planning to contact my old firms HR to find out if I can mail it to them. In California you need to have 2 CPA's sign off unless they are a partner. I am hoping HR will just confirm the dates I worked and ask a partner to sign it blindly. At another firm where the partner will remember me I will be sending a letter with the forms and a paid for return envelope with the correct address on it.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

Is there no time limit on this for California? In Louisiana, work experience must be within 4 years.

My understanding is that in California you either have to have the tests passed within 6 years or the work experience within 6 years. If both are over 6 years old then you have to take like 90 cpe hours. I doubt I will be able to get my attestation hours, because most firms only hold on to their files for 6 years:(

    Never give up:

My Big 4 firm had someone assigned to do all CPA experience sign offs. They required we fill out all the information on the application and then they would fill in the employer portion including experience stuff. I think it was a senior manager or director who was in charge of it. Regardless, ask HR they should know who to contact.
