Experience Requirements in NJ

    Just wondering if the experience needs to be in public accounting, or if I can gain the necessary experience in corporate accounting. I’ve seen conflicting evidence on this and was just wanting some clarification.

    Take a look at the experience form for NJ. I just became licensed. It asks you to break out your experience in public/private/government. Mine is all public but I believe the other two are accepted.

    AUD- 78
    BEC- 79
    REG- 91
    FAR- 83

    Licensed NJ CPA

    DONE

    You need to work directly under an active licensed CPA wherever
