I have two questions regarding work experience requirement for CA board:
1. Does CA board have a restriction of accepting experience earned only 5 years or less than 5 years before the CPA license application? For example, let’s say 400 hours were earned in 1st quarter of 2013 & license application is submitted somewhere in 4th quarter of 2018. Will that 400 hours be counted towards experience requirement?2. I understand that 170 part-time hours will equal one month of full time job. So if using only experience from part time job, then one needs 170 x 12 = 2040 hours to meet experience requirement for CPA license?
Hopefully someone in similar situation &/or is in the middle of application process or already got their license have answers to the above questions. As far as I know, CA board will not answer any questions unless there is an license application filed. Please let me know if there is anyone I can contact at the Board who can answer these questions.
