I just passed all four sections of the CPA exam but I don’t have either the work or education required to get the certification in Colorado. I was going to wait to take the Ethics exam until around the time I will finish my work experience. I was wondering if there is any window when I am required to take the ethics exam after I finish the CPA test or if it just needs to be done at some point before I can get the certification.n

It varies by state. For Texas you'd want to get the work experience first as I think you have to have taken the ethics course in the 6 month window prior to getting the license.n

Thanks I thought it better to do it closer to getting the certification but didn't know if there were any rules. I may just have to search around the colorado CPA site for their policy.n
