I have a couple questions regarding the ethics exam for Colorado.

I am looking to take this exam and it seems like I have two options. I can mail my money and request in or I can order directly online. I am looking at ordering online to expedite the process but it seems like I am only ordering the study book. Does this include the exam as well or how does that work?

On the request form (sending it in through snail mail) it says that I am ordering “the self-study course and examination”.

If anyone else has been through this process, can you please provide me with some guidance on ordering the materials and completing the course?

I've been looking into this too. According to the link that takes you to buy the online version it is the same product. However, the prices are different which doesn't make any sense. I'm going to call and find out soon, I'll let you know what they say.

OK, here's the deal.

First we go to this link to purchase a self study book that includes access to the test. This one is a broad test that covers national ethics and has to be passed before receiving your CPA certificate (before or after passing all sections).

Then, you have to take this test for another $75 (I'm sure they aren't just after our money) within six months of passing. This one supposedly covers Colorado ethics…since I'm sure they are so different.
