Ethics Exam – Colorado

    Guys,

Can anyone help me with this?

I actually live in Florida but I am doing the CPA through Colorado since they only require 120 credit hours.

As I am getting ahead in this process, I realized that I have to do an Ethics exam to be able to apply for Licensure in Colorado. Anyone familiar with this? Do I just take the AICPA Ethics course? Where/how do I take the exam? Where do I apply for it? Any information would really help.

Btw, I plan on taking the rest of the credit I need to meet the 150 hours requirement in Florida and then apply to transfer the license from Colorado to Florida via reciprocity. If you have any comments about this, please feel free to comment.

    Thanks in advance.

I'm not quite sure on this because I haven't got that far yet, but I think there is one other piece you'll have to do. I'm not quite sure how to find it but somewhere on the DORA website you have to complete another type of exam. It's nothing major from what I hear, I think it's just another little study packet of materials with a test that asks you about the rules and regulations in Colorado regarding CPE etc.

    I found it! 🙂

    Here's the link:

    https://www.dora.state.co.us/accountants/CPEFAQ.pdf

In the middle of page 2 it talks about Colorado Rules & Regulations (CR&R)

    Hope that helps!
