I’m confused…I thought I was told that it wasn’t required for all states. Is that true? Do I have to worry about another exam after I finish this nightmare?

    REG (2/24/12) - 89
    AUD (4/5/12) - 89
    FAR (5/31/12) - 91
    BEC (7/7/12) - 84

    nice Audit score!!

yes, ethics is the last one. I haven't heard of any states that don't have that requirement. To be sure, contact your state board of accountancy.

Good luck with the rest of your exams!

ugh, that seriously makes me want to cry…I'm trying to study for FAR today and sooo depressed, this test has completely drained me.

I know how you feel. It is one hell of a pisser…..but you will get there!!! And unless you are in California, the ethics exam is more doable than the four parts to the CPA exam.

Okay, new question. Do I have to wait to do the ethics exam until after I've officially passed all 4 sections of the CPA? I take my last section on July 7 and then I have a 3 week break until I start work full time with a Big 4. That would be my ideal time to get it done, but would that even be possible?

Louisiana doesn't have an ethics exam either. We have to have a certain number of hours in ethics every few years. I'm not sure how many though.

I confirmed that it's required for VA through the board of accountancy. Do you know if I can get it done before I get my BEC score though?

To answer your question, you can even take the exam before your last CPA exam so you have total flexibility (at least this is the case in IL). I took the Ethics exam the night before my BEC exam. BEC was my last exam and I wasn't able to sleep well and I wanted to waste some time (bad idea), needless to say BEC had my lowest score. You can finish the whole thing in few hours (get the CD version and use Ctrl+F). Don't worry too much about it; the exam isn't that complicated though it can be a little bit tricky but I don't see why you won't be able to pass it in three times.

    REG: 80 (02/02/2012)
    FAR: 91 (02/06/2012)
    AUD: 89 (02/09/2012)
    BEC: 79 (02/12/2012)

    Ethics: 90 (02/11/2012)

Thanks @Long-Journey! I just know that once I start full time, the long hours will begin, and I won't want to do much of anything at home besides and sleep.
