I’m currently working at a private (oil and gas firm). By the time I’m done with the exams (next year), I will hopefully meet the experience requirements under my State (Alaska).
However, the remaining is the education requirement! I need to get a master’s degree in order to get licensed. Thankfully, my company does send qualified employees for higher education. Problem is.. when? I don’t know. Its up to them and their budgets. Obviously I can’t leave my job to peruse a masters to get licensed. I just have to wait for my turn to be sent out for higher education. That might take 2, 3 maybe even 4 years?
My only concern is.. will my exam credit expire? After all the blood and sweat trying to pass all 4 sections? :”( just the thought of that makes my stomach sick.
Please note that I’m an international candidate. But any information you might know regarding the issue is useful.
Thank you guys! honestly I’d go crazy without this little amazing community.
