I have an undergraduate in Accounting which gives me roughly 125 hrs. Ive just passed the exam so now im deciding my best option for the additional hours. Ive only been out of school and working for a year and a half in corp finance. An MBA is not something im interested in right now considering my work experience. Any thought on masters in finance one year program – fairly new program but could get me my hours needed to be certified?

I'm in the same boat as you in that I need additional hours to become licensed. After reading several threads on here, I've decided to just get the hours at a community college. It's quick and cheap and honestly, that's all I'm interested in right now. I looked at some MBA and MSA programs, but they're so expensive and I just don't want to take on any monthly payments above what I already have, especially since I don't know if it will be worth it in the long run. Later on down the road, I may decide to get an MBA if it will help my career, but I'm just taking the easy way out to be licensed. I would base your decision on whether or not you're going to get a return on your investment of a Masters in Finance… if so, then go for it. If not, I would just do something cheap.
