I Recently passed all 4 parts.

I left public accounting after a year and half and entered a different field. I only have 120 Credits.

What would be the easiest way for me to get my CPA License. I don’t care what state it comes from but I just want to be able to say I am a CPA.

Anyone have any advice? Or knowledge of what the best thing for me to do is?

    Thanks!

@Mr.CPA. In NY they have two different options. One is 150 credits, 1 year ANY experience working under a CPA. Or 120 credits, 2 years of ANY experience under a CPA. I would register under a state that has 120 credits so you don't need to waste money on more classes, and just work 6 more months and you will be good to go. To register under NH you need 120 credits and 2 years public accounting. I would just browse around, see what fits what you already have. Hope that helps a little!

I have currently applied for NY. I dont think I will get the 6-7 months experience because I left the public acounting world.

I need a state that doesnt have the work experience requirement and 150 credit requirment.

    Does anybody know of anything?

I think Delaware and Colorado changed their requirments.

I just am not sure if there are other states.

    Thanks Herbie

Are there any states that you could have the 120 Credits and no experience and still get your license? I know delaware used to have that.

@Mr.CPA.. NY changed their law in 2009, you don't need 2 years of public experience, you just need 2 years experience working under any licensed CPA
