    I'd recommend this…

If you are experienced in Audit (i.e., that's your line of work) then take that next. Otherwise, it'll probably be greek to you and to get a section out of the way and build confidence I'd pass on it.

FAR (in my opinion) is harder than AUD but it's a common denominator across all accountants, so at least there'll be familiar material and concepts.

    Take a break from BEC.

I would like to know what books are being used. I dont' have the money to invest in Becker, which is what everyone seems to be using. I took BEC and AUD using Gleim, found out last night I failed BEC, soon to find out AUD score. I felt before the test I knew the books inside and out.

But, I still failed. What books are you all using? What books do you suggest, without spending thousands of dollars?

CPA-Valenz – KEEP YOUR HEAD UP. You have to keep trying. It took me a vary long time to pass and it is the best feeling! I used Becker and I should have used it a lomg time ago. This site will also keep you going. If money is an issue, maybe you could talk to your boss to see if they can help you out (paying for it up front and then setting you up with payroll withholdings interest free). My friend is doing that……

It also seems that along of people use the YAEGER too….Not sure the price difference….

    Keep going!!!!!

I'm using CPAexcel and it's really helped me so far. Passed two, waiting on my AUD score and taking REG in two weeks.

Sorry for the score. I know it's frustrating and tiring but just keep plugging away at it. You will finally get the passing score with diligence and persistence. Take a deep breath, give yourself the freedom to be human and not perfect (that's probably more for me and not you) and let's keep going!

    BEC - 83 (7/09),FAR - 80 (11/09), AUD - 84 (1/10), REG -82 (3/10)

I have already factored in that I may have to retake AUD. Retaking an exam will not deter me. These exams are all about endurance, not intelligence. I promised my wife a first class vacation after these exams, even if I have to borrow the money!

There are no failures in this CPA game. There are only people who quit. Do not be one of them. No one will care how many times you take these exams. All they will care about is if you are a CPA.

The purpose of the CPA exams is to keep you and me from becoming CPAs. That is a fact of life. Those 3 initials, CPA, do not come cheaply!

If you failed a section, use another review course. Yaeger for BEC is the least expensive and the best, in my opinion.
