I am taking the CPA exam in Illinois but I will be transferring it to Texas. When I pass all 4 parts of the exam is there a time frame where you have to meet the 1 year of experience for licensing? I know they expire if you do not pass all 4 within 18 months; but I am wondering if they expire if there are a couple years in between passing all parts and meeting all requirements for licensing.

I believe they do expire at some point. It also varies by state statute since the actual licensing occurs at the state level. I think I remember hearing anywhere between three and seven years, depending on the state of application. I'm not 100% sure though.

It does vary by state. In SC, from what I read, passing the exam has no expiration.

I would read the state board's website for info and if you don't find it then email them and ask.
