I am currently finishing my B.S.B.A in Accounting at the University of Central Florida. I plan to take 3 additional accounting courses and 1 business law course online to meet the Florida requirement for 36 upper division accounting and 39 upper division business credits. With the addition of the previous listed courses, all previous college courses, and credit received for military training I will be at 157 semester hours. Without the credit for military training I am at 147 semester hours. As you can see, if the credits from the military are not accepted by the Florida board, I would be 1 course short of the 150 hour requirement. Additionally the military credits are listed on my UCF transcript as “Other Credit.” I know it is a stretch but I am curious if anyone else on here has experienced this and whether or not the military credits are accepted?
Also, as a precursor to anticipated responses, I know it makes more sense to just take the extra courses and get a masters, but I plan to get my MBA from UF once I finish the CPA exam because the MBA from UF does not give me the required accounting courses for the CPA.
