Hey guys,
I just moved to MA and need 6 additional credits in accounting to get licensed. Unfortunately, a lot of the courses I could find online (e.g. UNA PAPP/LSU) partially duplicate with the accounting classes I have taken in school. Does anyone have experience on whether state boards/NASBA would count partial duplicates towards education requirement? One of the courses I was interested in was 30% duplicate, the other was 60% duplicate.
P.S. I have reached out both MA Board of Accounting and the NASBA MA person with the course descriptions, but after more than a week of wait they both gave me vague generic responses telling me not to take anything the board/NASBA may consider as duplicate. I have yet to find anything on the criteria they use for evaluating duplicates, and I definitely do not want to gamble the $ and time on courses they may or may not consider as duplicate based on whatever criteria they may or may not be based on…
Thanks!
