Hi. I passed the CPA exams in California back in 2002. Since then I ve been living and working overseas. I ve never applied for a license in California or any other state. If i return to california may I still apply for a license after completing the practial experience requirement?

The exam results don't expire so as long as you meet all other requirements, you may apply. But you might have to take additional courses because starting Jan. 1, 2014 educational requirements are changing.

    More details here:

    https://www.dca.ca.gov/cba/

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)
    California CPA since 1/30/14

Hi. Please need assistance about the CPE. Is it something done after licensure or I should have done after passing exams.

The reason I gave you the link is so you can do the research by yourself. As a future CPA you should be able to do it. Your situation is unique so only you know what you still need to do, and that site has most of the answers.

From what I remember, you might have to do CPE before if your experience isn't recent….but again, you'd have to do your own research on this one…..
