    Hello everyone,

I just wanted to know or share which CPA Exam Review Software is being used the most. Since the CPA exam has changed in 2011, I am worry that some of the companies out in the market don’t have the updated material needed for these changes.

Can anyone let me know which software is the most reliable?

    Thanks,

They all buy their questions from the same place: the AICPA

It then comes down to functionality and value. For the price, you really can't beat Wiley.

I have both Gleim and Wiley test bank software.

    Gleim:

    Pros:

Graphs that show performance for each section

Can see your score as you go through each test or study session (as opposed to just seeing the final score at the end.)

Can see how many questions are in each module

    Well organized.

It will tell you if the question is publisher developed or an AICPA released question

    Cons:

No simluations or written communications practice.

Only allowed 2 downloads per PIN, no online access.

    Wiley:

    Lots of questions

    Includes simulation questions

More closely resembles the prometric experiance in terms of how it looks on the screen.

    Online access

    Cons:

It makes you create a name for every study or test session, which can be confusing after you've got more than 20 different sessions out there.

Grade report only shows that session, can't see a performance report for all modules and all sessions taken.

It doesnt tell you how many questions are available for each module

Overall, I like to use both test banks. I study with Wiley, but after awhile I feel like I memorized all the answers, so I switch to Gleim to get in the extra practice.

Good stuff Cal. The Wiley online software shows you how many questions per module if you click the module and then highlight the questions and scroll down, if that makes sense.

Oh! ok, I see now in Wiley test bank you can see how many questions are available for each module when you select the option to add individual questions. Thanks!

I don't know about Gleim but another thing I like about Wiley is that it tells you the average time you're spending per question. This helped me get better at pacing myself. Also, I felt that the material covered on the test bank reflected the 2011 changes.
