This is my first post on here and I’m hoping somebody can provide me with some guidance. I have acquired the PDF version of Becker 2009 (no cd’s but the whole course is included), which I currently use to study for the CPA. I have registered to take the CPA and am awaiting my NTS. I’ve decided that I’m going to take the Auditing section first because it is mostly memorization. I’m wondering if the 2009 Becker version will be a sufficient amount of information to pass the Auditing section. Is there anyway I can use 2009 Becker course and use some kind of supplementary information or it be absolutely necessary to spring for the current version?

Never use outdated materials especially with the changes in 2011 which makes them even more outdated.

hey alter854… memorization is good for AUd but you also need to know the material… i have becker 2009 pdf documents. the passmasters are pretty good i believe since i have not seen much of them anywhere else but becker alone might not be enough…. cpareviewforfree gives good practice too and the wiley testbank is pretty good too.. i have been using all three. my exam is on may 2nd. i will reply on how prepared i was for the exam

You get what u pay for. 2011 Test bank and regular wiley book for simulation practice. Remember its 40% now. Especially research function.

I took REG on 02/05/2011. I used 2009 Becker and Wiley Test Bank and passed with 87. If you do not want to pay for Becker 2011 which is very expensive, I would say you can use Becker 2009 and add Wiley.

i also have that pdf becker 2009 u speak of (wink wink). it was good for me for AUD but i wouldnt suggest using it as your sole source. i also purchased wiley online testbank and also used cpareviewforfree.com………….and the ninja notes BOGO…. so i passed on my first try, without any experience in auditing and for $99 + $36(or whatever the notes cost)

If you have 2010 Becker there's a free update for 2011 and they'll send you the books in the mail

But if you dont want to pay for that, that's understandable
