Hi Ninjas! I will try my best to explain my situation, and hopefully someone can help, or has some experience in the matter. I am currently a graduate student at a school in MA, where I am working on getting my MACC, and will be graduating in May. I have recently accepted an offer with a firm in my home state of MN, which I will be moving back to after graduation. I am currently eligible to sit for the exam in MA, but not eligible to sit in MN until graduation. I would love to get a head start on the exams and start taking them now, but I don’t want an MA license to become an issue when I move back to MN. Is it easy to change the state that I am licensed in? Or possibly just transfer scores? For example if I pass two sections, and I graduate and become eligible to sit in MN, could I apply to sit in MN and transfer the two scores? Well thanks to anyone who read this, and hopefully someone will have some insight!

As long as the requirements are similar you should be able to transfer, from what I've researched.

From what I know about it (this relates to GA and FL) You can sit through a different state, but you will have to pay a fee to the licensing state to transfer your scores. I believe you are best off completing the exam through your original state (MA), then transferring scores to MN. For the GA to FL situation you pay a $200 fee to GA to transfer your scores.

Please if you do NOTHING else, call the board in MN before you make a decision.

Someone here recently moved from OH to NC and NC wouldn't accept their scores because they have a different 18 month rule.

In general you can transfer scores but get the answer for your specific situation right from the source. I can't imagine anything more frustrating than a small difference in requirements causing grief after you've passed the exams!
