I know this is a CPA exam forum, but considering the CFE exam is relevant to my life after the CPA exam.

I was looking at the requirements, and noticed that you need to have three candidate recommendations to vouch that you are an ethical person.

Who specifically needs to sign off on these? I haven’t started employment yet, so I do not have any close employer contacts. However, I do have plenty of friends in the business industry. It feels wrong to ask a friend to vouch how ethical I am, so I was curious what kind of people I need to get to sign off.

I’ve had a few internships in the past… but would simply a colleague in a staff accountant position be sufficient?

Any CFE-certified people out here?

I believe it needs to be filled out by someone who has worked with you in a professional environment. You may want to email the ACFE and ask them what to do in your situation. They are pretty helpful over there, so its worth asking them about.
