    Hey everyone,

I passed the ethics exam in September 2014, and submitted my CPA application (after fulfilling the requirements) in January 2015. I received my status letter in the mail today, 2/17/2015, stating that the CBA still needs my completed California ethics exam (PETH).

I don’t know what to do? According to the CalCPA website, scores are automatically sent to the California Board of Accountancy, so why would that still be pending, given that I passed the exam months ago? I printed out my certificate, and will most likely send that back to them, but I am not sure if this will work.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you in advance!!!

It can't hurt to just send in a copy of your certificate – I sent one in with my application (not California, but still) and it was sufficient. Call the CA board – they'll be able to put you on the best course of action.

I would definitely call the CBA and see if there is a mistake and what they suggest. I personally would ask for a fax number and fax it over ASAP if that is an option.

I just sent my application last week without having completed the PETH. I really need to wrap that up.

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.
