    Hi all,

I passed all four parts of the CPA exam and the ethics portion last May, 2017. Shortly after I had to leave the country to tend to some family matters oversea. I recently returned to the US and started working for a local firm. Does anyone know how long California candidates have to submit the application for licensing in after completion all the CPA exams? I will likely be required to take the accounting ethics class and also meeting the 1 year of work experience. Is there such a rule that if I don’t apply for licensing within a time period that i would be forced to forfeit all of my test credits? Sorry for the newbie question as I couldn’t find my answers after searching the Calcpa website.

    Thanks in advance!

there is no deadline for submitting your application after passing the 4 exam sections. There is however a time limit for the PETH exam, I believe the passing score is good for 2 years. So long as you have submitted your application (and in theory it's reviewed and approved in time…? dunno about that) before the 2 year anniversary of your PETH passing score you should be good.
