Hey friends. I sent my application in in December and I'll give you an outline. Spoiler – they haven't finished going through my app yet.
@cheeseman777 – don't worry about how I did mine differently, just take note of the CBA update letter process and that the letters can be confusing when they are processing multiple pieces at once. Now that I think about it… haha. Your way might definitely be better.
Firstly – I submitted my items at generally the same time. I had my work experience done so decided to just have things sent within a week or two of each other.
Secondly – If you choose to submit your app, you need to have all items in to the CBA within a year or so or you forfeit your fee and your app is deemed abandoned – $200 or so. So don't do that.
Thirdly – This has been my timeline of events: Mailed app ~12/15/17. Received confirm post card first week of Jan 2018. Had transcripts requested and mailed to CBA also around 12/15/17. Live scan early December, experience form during that week as well. My process gets a little hairy because one of my schools sent my transcripts before my final grades were posted (thanks). It took until early Feb to find that out from the CBA. I just talked to them on Friday because I got a 2nd letter with an updated unit count saying I was short (didn't make any sense), and they basically are just juggling multiple transcripts of mine and have a large backlog of transcripts to process.
All this to say – it would probably make it easier to send your app last? Not sure how the CBA likes holding on to things that don't have an app to assign to but I'm sure they do it. The CBA sends letters to update you but they get confusing as they process things, make you think they didn't receive something when it most likely means they just haven't gotten through the back log yet. It sorta seems the update letters are sent via automated system.
Hopefully this helps!
