CA: Is there a time limit to becoming a licensed CPA after passing the exam?

In California, after passing all 4 sections of the CPA exam, is there a time limit to become licensed? I read the licensing handbook, and it doesn’t seem to mention. Maybe I overlooked, I’m not sure. I meet the education requirements for Passage 2, but I lack the work experience under an “active” licensed CPA. My company does not have a licensed CPA, nor have I worked under a CPA, and I’m not sure when I’ll be able to fulfill the requirements.
    nThanks for any help!n

I called the board and they told me there is no time limit. However I have trouble trusting the information that I receive from people. If you call them please tell me what they tell you.n
