    Hey guys,

    I am taking Audit for the very first time on 5/6. I have had one class in audit, which I took online in December and obviously learned zilch. Needless to say, studying for this exam is by far the hardest one for me. I was wondering if anyone had any feedback from this testing period that they could share…….i.e. what software did you use, was it adequate, how did you study for sims,did you use supplemental testing banks that you felt filled any gaps,testing strategies, did you memorize word for word the standard audit report? Ok, I know I just piled on the questions, but I hope you will be patient with me.

    I am new to this site..normally I participate on Club 75 but it is so quiet over there. Maybe everyone passed last window–not sure !!!!???

    Thanks again for your help…and good luck to all of you out there this testing window!!!

    so i just came from doing my test… i used a few different review resources and i honestly cannot saying which one help me more. i used becker 2009, wiley 2011 and cpareviewforfree………….the exam is pretty much the same as the sample test on aicpa.com…… while i didnt see any of the same sims wiley it prepared me as much as i could possiblely be prepared…it gets you familiar with drop down boxes and such.

    i still have mixed feelings as to how i did because the third testlet easier i believe which isnt necessarily a good sign

    you probably wont need to know the reports word for word but you want to be very familiar with them.

    I am taking audit soonish (in the next two weeks but haven't scheduled the exact date on line, yet). I have already taken BEC and REG, that I actually enjoyed (more or less) studying for. The studying for AUD is getting somewhat less boring, but i am finding it “dryer” than the other sections.

    My gut reaction is AUD will be reading for context “al la extreme”; I remain concerned as I haven't studied spread sheet formulas and keep getting told they wont pop up but my gut says they will. I am using Yaeger and the Wiley book and am concerned it isn't enough, any thoughts?

    @rknight21,

    Thanks for your post. I am using Wiley, Becker and Cpareviewforfree…mostly focusing on Wiley now. I don't think you should assume that because the third testlet seemed easier that it was a bad sign. It could have been easier because you knew it…….(I saw your other post on Audit)

    In any case…..best of luck to you…and thanks again for the info!!

    @Annette1

    I couldn't agree with you more….Audit is sooooooo dry. I had asked jeff about the spreadsheet formulas since Yaeger made a point on that for FAR, and he said it wasn't going to be necessary to know. You might want to ask him again.

    Good luck to you!
