    Hi everyone!

Has anyone used CPAexcel to study for the 2011 version of AUD? I’m just wondering how well prepared people felt they were after taking the exam.

Thanks for your response but that wasn't really my question. I used CPAexcel to pass BEC and probably REG. I already know that I like the product. I'm just wondering if anyone who studied for AUD with it has taken the exam. For example what were their simulated scores in CPAexcel vs how they felt they did on the exam.

I took AUD in 2010. I used CPAexcel for AUD, and I thought it prepared me very well. One thing that I don't like about this program is the lack of practice questions. There are not very many. So, I bought Wiley to supplement it. I didn't do the simulated exams because those questions are repeated from the practice questions.

Thanks for your response :o) I am scoring about 88% on the simulated exams with CPAexcel, and I'm starting to memorize the questions/answers, so I'm going to spend tonight and tomorrow (my last two nights of studying!!!) taking the simulated exam out of my Wiley book and reviewing subjects that I score weak in.

I used the CPAexcel Self-Study Course. After doing some research, I decided not to get the books or the videos. You can print up their stuff from the online program and I've heard that it's exactly the same as the books that you can buy. I only had a print up a few sections of the material. I used only their online program. I also used Wiley for a tiny bit of supplemental studying, but I'd say I used CPAexcel for 97% of my studying.

I should also say that I felt very well prepared for the AUD simulations. REG was another story…

Awesome, good luck. 🙂 Just make sure that you stay on top of your assignments and don't get behind. It has a study plan and if you stick to it, you'll do well. I usually put my test date in for about 4 days before my actual test date so that I have extra time at the end to take practice tests.

    Hi there,

I passed AUD! I felt great coming out of it, and I'm still kind of shocked that I didn't score higher. But whatever – passing is passing! Here's my score report.

    Auditing & Attestation – Score: 78

Understanding the Engagement (12-16%) – Comparable

Understanding the Entity (16-20%) – Comparable

Procedures and Evidence (16-20%) – Weaker

Evaluation and Reporting (16-20%) – Weaker

Accounting and Review Services (12-16%) – Comparable

    Professional Responsibilities (16-20%) – Stronger

    Overall:

    MCQ – Comparable

    Simulations – Comparable

Failed REG.. but I think that's probably my fault. I didn't make it through the whole study process. It's funny because my score report card actually looks a lot better for REG, but I failed. MCQ wise it was Comparable x 4, Stronger x 1, Weaker x 1, but I got “Weaker” in both MCQs and Simulations. Whatever!

    Good luck to you!
