    Hi all. I’m currently studying for AUD, which I will take on Monday early afternoon. I’m using Becker and I’m only JUST about to get started on the Transaction Cycle MCQ’s in Ch 4 (yup, 121 questions, I have a fun night ahead of me!). Problem is that I will still have to finish the REST of Chapter 4 PLUS all of Chapter 5. And of course I still have to go back and review everything else. Am I screwed????

    Any suggestions from anyone who is having (or had) a last-minute freak-out like me? It is my fault for not having stuck with my study plan. I’ve considered re-scheduling but I am hoping to somehow miraculously pass ….. any tips would be GREATLY appreciated, thank you!!

    Good luck to everyone!

    @indexcards,

    Gosh, for me, I needed alot of review. I ended up doing all the mcq's in Becker twice which included some of the supplemental. I have no audit experience and only had one class, which I took online, and learned zilch. So, for me I needed time to review things over and over: notes that I wrote, study notes from Becker, notecards from Becker, and written notes from doing the mcq's that I got wrong, or ones that I wanted to emphasize on. It was hard for me to remember the different layers of auditing. But that was me. I ended up using the last week for simulated exams, progress tests from Becker and then the Wiley test bank, and then cpareviewforfree also. The questions can be so wordy that I needed practice on focusing on that. That being said, I read alot of posts on this blog saying that Wiley prepared people better for the sims on Audit-FYI. For me Chapter 5 was hard. There is alot of info there that didn't sink in initially. But that is my experience. Everyone is different.

    How are oyu doing on the mcq's so far? I guess your decision rides alot on how much you are absorbing the material. For me, I need a full week for review, it helps me solidify concepts that I understood in a rote manner during the homework stage. Are you a good crammer? Are you a good test taker? These are important factors that make a difference as well.

    Whatever you do, best of luck to you. I took Audit in early May. I finished an hour early. Seems like most people finish in plenty of time.

    It will be tough given how much you still have to do. To save time, you might skip the videos and just read and do problems unless you need some additional explanation about a topic. I found the Becker Passkey hints to be very useful with AUD so I'd recommend making sure you get those down. I know other people have complained that they saw a lot of stuff not covered in Becker, but that wasn't true in my case. Also, do as many MCQ as you can. I felt that there wasn't as much material to learn as with the other exams, but the difficulty was with the wording because the differences amongst the answers were often very subtle. Having done lots of MCQ helped me with this. Don't worry about studying the TBS separately. There's no way to anticipate what the question topics will be so you're better off learning the concepts and doing MCQ. Just make sure you know the format to expect by looking at the AICPA sample test.

    Wish you the best of luck on Monday.
