I graduated a university in California but I didn’t take an Audit class since California did not require it for sitting for the exam. However, since pathway 1 is going to be phased out, I need to leave myself an option to switch to Delaware which will still have the 120 hours as on option. It’s just that they require an Audit class so I want to take a class before I sit for my first exam as a California candidate (credit transferability issue).

Since there’s quite a significant time difference in Japan, I won’t be able to take classes that require me to take exams on campus or attend lectures through Skype or whatnot.

I’ve been looking for a university that meets my needs but no luck yet. Do you guys know of any universities that will let me take online classes that I will be able to complete even with the time difference and the 12 hour commute to campus?

I know UMass Amherst offers online course where you work at your own pace. There are deadlines but no sype lectures and don't need to atttend classes. I took them as part of a masters program, but I'm not sure if you need to be part of the program in order to take them. They do also offer undergrad classes. Great school and it is accredited!

Thanks for the reply guys.

Jeff I was looking at the DePaul link you sent me. I was wondering if you know whether I simply get college units for completing the review courses, or if I get specific college units that are interchangable with actually units in an Audit course.

Either way, I recently discovered that I should probably look for a community college in my own state so that I don't have to pay out of state tuition fees. It's the difference between paying $50 and $500 for a class. I appreciate the help, anyway!

Dayvan – call your state BOA and ask them if Depaul's course will satisfy their reqs.

Dayan – Look into UCLA Extension course. They have a great course selection gear towards CPA candidate. Reasonable prices ($550-695). They have online or brick and mortar classroom. I took three courses to complete the credit hours requirement. Hope that helps.
