Depends on the state, but usually, it won't get approved until a board meeting is held. My application was approved and my license number was on the MN BOA's website the day after their first meeting after I submitted my application.

Well I am in Tennessee and I'm not sure how theirs works. I have scene some apps approved in the last couple weeks and their last meeting was on 5/1/15. The next meeting is scheduled for 7/16/15.

I don't know about you, but I got really depressed after studying so long for the CPA and then passing it. It was a bit anticlimactic.

Hey WR8280 … I feel the exact same … I was so depressed last week. I passed my last exam on 5/5 and playing the waiting game with my app … I just feel lost without something to do … I mean Netflix is fun and all on the weekdays but yeesh

I waited just under 2 weeks before I received my license # in the mail. In WV they sign your certificate at the board meeting that they hold every quarter, but licenses are apparently approved within a few weeks.

I can understand the anticlimactic feeling. I had to work 1 year before applying, so sending in my app seemed like just another day. However, I was pretty excited when I finally did get my license in the mail, and it still feels a little weird to be able to write CPA behind my name.

Yeah, it is weird when you put so much into something and then your done with nothing else to do.Things haven't really slowed down that much for me though. I'm getting married on the 27th so it is pretty crazy right now. Maybe I'll get over feeling weird.

Sent my application mid last month and received a notification of receipt last week. This is going to be a long process..

But I got a chance to celebrate in Maui, play tons of MLB the Show, watch baseball, enjoy the Finals (GO DUBS!), hosting parties at our new house and binge watching Game of Thrones.

Life is good again!
