What was your approach with AICPA ethics exam. Did you guys read the text first and them did the test questions? Were you able to find exam answers in the text?

I started with the test and looked up answers as needed. It only took me a little over an hour that way.

Were you able to find word to word answer for questions? Also do the questions follow the same order of topics in the book?

I read the text first before answering the questions. The questions did generally go in the order they were found in the book. Most of them were pretty obvious, but there were 2 that I weren't 100% sure about when I submitted it. Yes, you don't technically have to read the book, but I feel like you would just be cheating yourself by taking the easy way out. Honestly, that's something I would have done in high school… these are our careers we're talking about here. Besides the information being important, I learned quite a few things I didn't already know.

I would get the CD-Rom first, print out the test questions, and watch the cd rom video through once and take notes.

Then try to answer the questions. Go back to the cd rom for anything unsure of and get the exact text

@ZRowe24, I don't know if different states have different requirements, but in VA you can. I took my Ethics exam while I was waiting on my score for REG.

    BEC - 90 PASSED
    FAR - 84 PASSED
    AUD - 93 PASSED
    REG - 84 PASSED

    I DID IT!!!!

Do we need to take the AICPA ethics exam in the Prometric center? or can we just do it at home? Can we get the result right away after the exam? Do you know the cost and where to get it? Please advise.

    AUD 07/28/2012 - Passed

@pinaycpa, no you do not take the Ethics exam at Prometric… exclusively at home The exam costs about $150 at the AICPA Online store, and the material comes in either a textbook or a CD-rom. The actual exam is online and you get your results instantly. The entire thing can be done in one afternoon.

    BEC - 90 PASSED
    FAR - 84 PASSED
    AUD - 93 PASSED
    REG - 84 PASSED
