    Hi everyone,

I am retaking AUD on May 4th after failing it pretty badly in Feb. After taking it, I did start studying FAR, but when I got my failing score I dropped FAR and went right back to AUD. (maybe this wasn’t the best idea, but I still felt more comfortable with the AUD information so I went with my gut feeling) I re-did all my lectures and took all new notes as if I had never studied AUD before and am now reviewing each chapter and making tests for them on the Wiley test bank. I am scoring anywhere from 82 to 88 and around 74/75 on my weaker chapters. I am about halfway through and am finally starting to really grasp. I see now that my first time around I was not putting in nearly enough time or MC questions practice!! Any tips for my last 3 weeks would really be appreciated…am I on the right track?

And one more thing, I scheduled FAR for July 5, giving myself exactly 2 months for it, but do you think I should push it back? I am going to have to re-do the lectures that I had done in March b/c I hardly remember any of it and I think 2 months will be pushing it. I was trying to get it done before I leave for vacation on July 9, but what do you guys think? Late July? Early August even? I would rather take the extra time and feel good about the information.

Thanks in advance for anyone who can give me some helpful advice!!

    AUD(2/16/11) 51,64, retake Oct.
    FAR(8/5/11)

I really don't understand why people are trying to memorize the material…. trying to understand the material will help you more because on the exam, it is all about apply what you learned and answer the question. After FAR (My 1st exam), I learned the CPA MCQs were that bad, I was under the impression that go into very detail, which most of the time just straightforward. When you answer a question and asking yourself, what is the concept behind the question.

Anyway, this is what I do. I never schedule an exam until I am ready. If I feel I will be prepare in a week, then I will schedule the exam two days prior of the testing day. You don't really have to schedule your exam weeks in advance, as long as you schedule within NTS expiration period

My suggestion is to do MCQ's on the Wiley test bank DVD more than one time. This really helped me on my exam because the wording of the question is similar to the actual exam. in audit, reading the question is very important because they will ask you the procedures for each specific stage.Try not to memorize the question and answer but look at the topic, which stage of the audit are they asking you, and the objective of each question. If this is your second time, I think doing all the multiple choices more than one time should be enough. Also, hand write each standard audit report(audit, compile, etc..) more than one time so you can memorize the structure. GL
