I applied my cpa application on 5/31/16, today I called NYS to check the status to see if im missing any forms. they told me they don’t have the score of my last exam which I took on 5/16 and I got my passing score report on 5/25/16. they told me to call nasba that nys don’t have my last exam score. what happned here can someone please help

Same thing happened to me. I emailed someone at NASBA, but no response yet. I took my exam 5/28, got my score 6/08.

AUD: 02/24/2015: 84!
BEC: 05/22/2015: 77!
REG: 08/28/2015: 85!
FAR: 05/29/2016: 76!

Hey did you send in the education form. I was confused, the directions led me to believe you don't have to send that form if NASBA approved you to sit and your not transferring from another jurisdiction. I also wasn't sure if I should wait to get my score before sending everything in. Thanks!

didn't have this issue but i know that the NASBA only sends the scores in one batch to NYS, i think it's like 2 weeks after a score release. I would call the NASBA and see. Regardless, you're not going to get your cert until the end of this quarter so you have time.

UPDATE: I spoke to a nys rep and was told that im missing my education. I was shocked. I requested my transcript with 150 credit from my school on 5/31/16 which is the day I mailed in my application. when I sat for the exam I only have 120 credits. I called the school to confirm if they mailed the transcript an they said it was m ailed on 5/31/16 as well. want to let everyone know that nys updated cpa application form. anyone applying the application astarting at june 2016 needs to fill out form 2 which needs to be mail together with ur transcript by the school other wise nys wont accept just the transcript. form 2 and transcript MUST be mailed by the school together.

I wonder why they started requiring the form? One of my schools uses a transcript service and I wonder how that will work. Hey do you have a phone number/email address for them?

I can feel bureaucratic hoop jumping in my future.

I called 8:30am at 518-474-3817 while on my way to work in the morning and around one hour wait :(. So when I sent out my application at 5/31/16 my form 1 was received by Nys on 6/6/16 and Nys decided to change the application form so I was using the old form 1. It's sad that I might need to reapply again. There's no more form 4 and form 1 is 5 pages instead of 4 pages and a new form 2 to fill out. I think they want new form 2 cuz they want the school to stamp on the application to prove we did attend this specific university. The address on the form 2 is a differen Address where you mail your transcript to too. It's such a chaos. I wish I didn't apply on May and apply it later.

I thought NASBA sent your educational information to the NYS education department. It says:

Form 2 -Certification of Professional Education- Submit this form to your college(s) if your education for the 150 requirement was not approved prior to sitting for the exam by NASBA or NASBA does not have all transcripts.

Bummer, this is going to slow my application down. An hour wait is long.

They still have 4 forms on the website so I'm confused.

OH you're right! At the bottom of Form 1 “Certified Public Accountant Form 1, Page 5 of 5, Rev. 6/16”

Well I sent them all my transcripts to NASBA for review and they told me I was good to go. When I got the letter there are no exceptions on it as far as being conditionally approved. Maybe that was the case with Iwana? Actually I bet that's it, Iwana said s/he sat for the exam when they only had 120 hours, so NASBA didn't have all the transcripts. That's why State Ed needs the final one's.

Or perhaps this is all just wishful thinking on my part.

I really hope so. Otherwise it will be a huge mess. I have to send in transcripts from FIVE different schools.

Trying to get all 5 of them to fill out that Form 2 would be a nightmare.

Yes I only had 120 credits when I sat for my exam so I need to send them an updated transcript that shows 150 credits. But I got really unlucky cuz my senior at work got his official license on May when he applied on April so i applied exact same forms he used. Then I checked Nys website again this past Friday, some of the forms changed. I did not see form 4 listed and I saw form 2 on the list. I thought I start seeing things but nope I talk to my coworkers who got the license recently they did not see form 2 before. If you look at the bottom of form 2 it shows REV 6/16 and this is same as form 1 REV 6/16. When I filled out my form 1 on May 31, 2016 the bottom of the application shows rev 11/15 which you don't see this form anymore

@ circadian Yeah, lets hope, fingers crossed, prayer – I really don't want to deal with getting the one that uses the transcript service to fill it out – plus it would take forever.

Iwana – I had all the forms filled out in my desk at work all ready to mail after my last exam in July. Thanks so much for sharing, you've just saved me some headache. Surprised it only took your senior a month to get his paperwork.

yes to just my senior another coworker just like 2nd year staff he received his official license within a month too and we are t NY. also, when you apply for your license, read those NYS website again to make sure no changes u have the proper forms filled out

Update: called NASBA found out if you took your exam at Q2 and now you are applying your application your score is still not available to NYS until July 15 so basically NYS can't even review your application cuz you don't have all the necessary forms.
