I am so burnt out from studying. Between work and studying and life in general (although I have cut out anything that resembles a social life) I am completely exhausted and burnt out. I know I absolutely need to study if I going to pass this beast (aka REG) I am just so exhausted when I get home from work.

Anyone else feeling completely burnt out from studying on top of everything else?

What do you guys do for a little extra energy/motivation to study?

I travel to RI from Boston (1+ plus hour commute) – when I get home I am pooped! I think I am going to switch to the all day all weekend study schedule. I work from home 1-2 days a week, so I can study 2-4 days for most of the day. I don't know how people study after work….

Energy comes on the days away from work. Just get through it!!!!!

Never gave me motivation or energy but when I got burnt out I reminded myself how many people I knew WISHED that was their biggest problem and somehow it felt better knowing it was a good problem to have 🙂

I wish this was my biggest thing to worry about. Stress from this exam has contributed to a significant health problem < you think that would be enough to motivate me…but it is so hard to study when you feel crappy on top of being burnt out. haha I need a swift kick to get me motivated to study!

I just like to keep thinking it will all be worth it. No more stupid wiley questions, study time commitments, missed social outings, etc etc. You will get your life back and it will be sweet to get that huge certificate

I feel the SAME way. I am so burnt out and tired of studying. I feel like this is all I ever do! I actually find that I concentrate much better when I force myself to go to the gym and have a good hour long workout. I almost canceled my workout the day before I sat for REG and thankfully didn't and I feel like my head was more clear that day. This sounds dumb but I also take fish oil supplements because it's “brain fuel” and my brain can use all the help it can get these days haha. Other than that, just make sure you take nights off. Maybe just study through your lunchbreak on a Friday and get an hour in, but then take that night off and re-energize a bit. This exam is a killer!

I'm burnt out too and I'm taking a tax season hiatus from studying. Just the thought of my last exam looming over me on top all the hard work I'm doing for tax season is burning me out. Easier said than done but we gotta just push through. Take a little break and jump back on track if you need to. Good luck and remember you are not alone

I got burnt out from studying. I took some time to relax. One week became two weeks…then four months later I started studying again. It was before my last exam too! Just finish strong…you're almost there!

    Thanks for all the encouragement/advice.

Today will probably be an easy study day. It is Fieldtrip Friday afterall. Friday's after work I take my dogs on a fieldtrip some place for a fun walk or hike. They love it and its a great break.

Right there with you – so exhausted! Work 9hr days, 1.5hr roundtrip commute, 5 days a week, precocious 3 year old daughter, plus recently added a family member in hospital (43 miles away). Trying to stay on track studying after work but not doing too great, hope to make up during the weekend. The biggest thing keeping me going right now is the fact that I only have one to go then it'll all be over with and I can spend time with my family and friends again. I've printed up my Credit Status information from the Board of Accountancy website and have posted it in conspicuous areas where I study, hopefully this'll help remind me how close I am everytime I find myself slacking off. Energy drinks help too!

Also, remember that this is NOT an impossibility (though sometimes I know it's felt that way) – we CAN do it!!! BE the little engine that could. 🙂

Oh I am trying to hang in there, but it is MARCH MADNESS, trying to write notes and listen to the games is just plain ole crazy. I'm hoping louisville, indiana, kansas, gonzaga win so my bracket will be good. OMW I am torn, but I need to study until at least the final four. :-0

Coffee and Red-bull are my go to forms of liquid energy. I am embarrassed at the amount of caffeine I consume!
