What are your thoughts on the Yaeger CPA Review course? Lectures? Textbooks? I’m trying to decide between getting updated Becker materials and going with an altogether different course like Yaeger. Thanks in advance.

Does Yaeger offer any sort of MCQ?

I know Becker has their own system and Roger uses Wiley Test Bank. I've used Roger to fail AUD 2x and think I need a change. I've memorized all the Wiley MCQ because I score in the 90s there but fail the actual exam. I think I need a change to get through AUD.

    ------------
    FAR - PASSED
    BEC - PASSED
    AUD - PASSED
    REG - 74

@clj5151: I guess my question is when you say “supplement with Wiley test bank, Wiley focus notes as well as Ninja notes,” so you mean I would need to purchase these separately from Yaeger? Or are they included with the Yaeger program (referring to the Wiley products as I know NINJA is not part of Yaeger)? I am still not certain what all comes with Yaeger and cannot tell fully by their website.

Yaeger comes with Yaeger lecture videos, Yaeger handout (used during lectures), Wiley textbook, & Wiley online test bank.

    FAR - 81 (8/31/12)
    AUD - 93 (10/19/12)
    BEC - 79 (11/27/12)
    REG - 92 (2/8/13) DONE! All 1st attempt!

Thanks Rukus. Is the Wiley online test bank just a collection of more MCQ's? Does the Wiley textbook have any MCQ's?

    Thanks again.

Yes the Wiley textbook has a large amount of MCQs and some simulations as well. The online test bank is a large compilation of MCQs and simulations. I really like the online test bank because you can track your scores by section to identify weak spots.

    FAR - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER)
    AUD - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES)
    BEC - 2012 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES)
    REG - 2013 - PASSED (YAEGER + NINJA NOTES + NINJA AUDIO)

    ETHICS - 2013 - PASSED

DONE!!! Thank you A71 for all the support! Hiya!!!

@Ag12thman: I did pass both on my first try. I spend upwards of 200 hours on FAR and probably around 100 for Audit.

I used Becker to pass AUD, BEC, and REG. I really struggled with it for the FAR section. I needed to actually learn the material and not just memorize. Yaeger's format really helped me with that aspect. It is kind of a throw back style where you watch lectures and a big white board. It was just what I needed.

    AUD - 82 Becker
    BEC - 75 Becker
    REG - 71, 82 Becker
    FAR - 66,61,71,74,70 and #6 80!!!! FINALLY DONE!!! 9/20/12
Yaeger and Yaeger CRAM for the final battle!

So Beecher for all sections but FAR? Is this a good rule of thumb? Should I purchase separate sections of Becker and/or Yaeger rather than the full courses of one or the other?

Obviously, that should be Becker above. Apologies…dang iPhone.
