WWYD? 2 Weeks to study for FAR?

So I realize that I have about a 99% chance of failing FAR with only 2 weeks to study, but my NTS is expiring Oct 17th and I would like to give it a try instead of just waste the money. I am taking AUD Oct 3rd so I am putting all my study time to that up until the day of the exam.

I have looked into getting a cram course like Roger’s since I would have time to watch all of the videos where obviously I will not have time to get through the Becker videos…but i’m not sure if I want to spend the money either since I will most likely fail anyway and will be spending money on a retake.

If you only had 2 weeks to study for FAR, how would you approach it to give you at least SOME kind of chance to pass?

    Thanks!

    Lindsay

If you've got the Wiley or Becker book I would just read it and write down high level notes for each chapter. You should be able to knock out a chapter a night of reading and writing notes and then perhaps your last weekend before the exam try to re-write all the notes.

If you don't work, you can get in a good 8-12 hours of study a day. Read a chapter a day (skip the videos) and take notes. After each chapter do as many MCQ's as you can for that chapter until you drop. Each day also try to do a 30 question or so progress test of the prior chapters. That's all bBker chapters done in 10 days. Last 4 days, re-read all of your notes and do non-stop MCQ's and a few SIMs. I think if you did that you would have at least a 50% chance of passing.

If you do work, you can still get in a chapter a day, but you'll probably do less MCQs each day. During the weekend study as much as possible.

I do work, but I am planning on taking vacation Monday the 14th – Wednesday the 16th so with the weekends that would give me 7 full days of studying and then I could probably get in about 2-3 hours on the other days that I work. Thanks for the advice, it gives me a little hope to think that others think it would be possible (50/50 isn't bad right??) 🙂

    Oh, and I have Becker.
