    Does anybody know where I can find good examples of written communications? I’ve heard that the best written communications shouldn’t be more than a couple paragraphs that are well designed. I’ve heard as long as you write above the level of a 2nd grader, you’ll be fine. I’ve also heard that as long as you use buzz words for the computer to catch, you’ll be fine.

    I’m looking for good examples of how a question was asked.

    Mark,

    Add me to your Question. I too would like to study “good” examples of the written communications. I've studied hundreds and hundreds of MCQ's for each of the exams, but when you study the SIMS, there are multiple tabs and the written communication is only one of them.

    Personally……….I'd buy a book of them (50? 75? 100?) if I could……………

    I think you have to write extensively when (short novels) answering written communications. I failed REG 2x, and passed the 3rd time…..the first times I answered with 3 or 4 short sentences and was always weaker in written communications…3 time I took REG I wrote a “short novel' ……….

    For FAR, I wrote a novel too!

    But for AUD I didn't write as much because I didn't know how to answer the questions…..but I've heard that you could write about anything and get points…

    BEC=77, FAR=78, REG=73,74,80, AUD=70,69, 84 DONE!

    Some of my written communications have been long and a few have been as short as 2 paragraphs. I scored average in my AUD written and above average in my REG written (FAR next week, so no clue how I'll do there yet).

    I've found my best preparation for the written wasn't writing myself, but rather just reading the suggested answers to the ones in my Becker software. While I wish I had about 30-40 more I could read for each section I just had to make due with what I had.

    For Reg/Aud I wrote a book. In far I haven't…maybe I should write a book.

    I have answered written communications from 5 sentences to up to 3-4 paragraph (3 -6+sentence) diatribes : )

    From what I understand and please correct me if I am wrong, I don't think anyone actually reads it, but it is a program that looks for keywords, spelling and grammar.

    NJTProadwarrior,

    I saw that somewhere too. I think it was a clip of Rogers CPA on YouTube. He said a computer grades them and looks for correct grammar and key words.

    Since I saw that, I have not been as intimidated by the WC. That was the only thing I scored “stronger” in for FAR. Believe me, I didn't get very in depth.
