Would volunteering for a CPA count towards obtaining my license?

    I have passed all four parts of CPA examination. Would volunteering for a CPA count towards obtaining my license?

    I am in CA.

    Just my thought but since the person you'll be volunteering for will be the one to decide whether or not to sign off on your required hours….I'd recommend asking them. Good luck!

    It's all up to the CPA you're volunteering for. As long as its general accounting, tax, or audit s/he should sign off for you and it will count.

    I would tell them upfront that you would like them to sign off on your experience if you volunteer.
