Would someone please explain this?

    How is it that in the Becker question CPA-01217, they are saying that for dilutive EPS, the preferred dividends will NOT affect the numerator in the diluted EPS calculation, yet in the question CPA-06578 the becker explanation says that the preferred dividends on convertible p.stock will REDUCE the numerator in the diluted EPS calc.

    what the fuck?

    Because one set of preferred is convertible; the other isn't.
